Muuv’s Story

The idea to launch Muuv gymnastics cards was born in spring 2019. We came across a speech therapy conference where we saw some great cards that speech therapists could use in their work. From there, the idea came that why not have physiotherapy cards to support people.

The first question we thought about was who we wanted to target with the exercise cards initially. There were a lot of ideas, but the youngest age group – babies – quickly came to the table. The need for this target group was confirmed by the fact that several friends of friends with their first baby had a very difficult time understanding what to do with their child in the first year of life in order to maximise the baby’s development. The exercise cards for babies went on sale in the summer of 2019, and by now the cards have reached hundreds of Estonian families.

Behind the Muuvi gymnastics cards are two physiotherapists who have assembled and photographed the exercises. We do this because we want to support the development of Estonian children from a very early age. After all, a healthy body is a healthy mind and it is never too early to start healthy exercise habits. The cards have also been reviewed by the Estonian Physiotherapists Association, which has given its approval to Muuvi’s gymnastics cards. We are constantly thinking about what new things we can do to support the health of Estonian children as much as possible, and the Muuvi gymnastics cards for the slightly older age group – children aged 1-4 years – will soon be ready.
